It is with regret to announce that the Danika Store has closed. As a result, I had to remove our affiliate Danika store in the city. Danika was a very popular clothing store that was around a long time and it is a shame to see it disappear.
With the removal of Danika, we will be looking at eventually adding new affiliate vendors to the bus station. We will only be adding stores that we think everyone can benefit from. With our new Avatar Support System, we might be looking for stores that could allow us to help those looking to upgrade their looks. If you know of quality stores that you’d like to see, please send a private message to Trasee, Ancilla or Meri in SL or on Discord. The more suggestions we have, the better.
As you probably know, we have a picture board in the front room of the sorority house. I’ve loved having it and seeing the pictures you all post on it. However, every picture on the board is 1 prim, 2 scripts, so it is with a heavy heart that i will be removing it this weekend.
If you would like to continue sharing your pictures, and i encourage you to do so, please post them to our Flickr group.
Cum Slut City has had a Flickr account linked to the blog since our blog was released. It was an account that allowed members to upload pictures directly from the blog into the Flickr account. At the time, there was no Flickr group, so the only way to share your photos was to upload it from the site. That is no longer the case. We now have a Flickr Group that you can join and share your Flickr photos directly from your Flickr account. Pictures shared in this group will be displayed on our Gallery page here on the blog.
This group is only for pictures taken in Cum Slut City, Cum Slut Sorority or Stray Cat Lounge. If you have pictures outside of the city that you want to share, please feel free to do so in the art gallery on Discord, and leave the group for city pictures only.
One other note. The Gallery Upload feature on the blog is currently broken, which is one of the reasons why we created the group. Fixing that feature will depend on whether it is needed or not. With the new group set up and working, uploading from the blog may not be necessary.
It is with great pleasure that we announce that Merilee is officially the lead admin for Chi Tau City, Chi Tau Sorority and Stray Cat Lounge!
Meri has been and continues to be, instrumental in building our community here. She wasn’t our first admin, but she was the first heavily active admin. In the time that she’s been here, she’s helped train new admins, set up the orientations, and even helped with getting regular events set up across the sim. She has been acting as a lead admin in everything but name. As much as she would deny it, we would not be where we are without her love and dedication.
As Lead Admin, Meri’s responsibilities will be focused on the bigger picture. The admins will be handling the day-to-day operations of the sim as a team, and Meri will be there to assist them and coordinate the larger tasks around the city. If you have questions or concerns, the admin staff will be able to help, but you may still bring them to Meri or any of the sim owners.
As citizens, you probably won’t notice much of a difference, but please continue to show Meri and the rest of the admin staff your support.
As one of the founders of Chi Tau City, I have endeavored to research the history of the city. The cybernetic augmentations that enhance my body and my mind enable me to access the Internet directly. With that vast storehouse of information, I was able to gather some information and sort the possible truths from the legends and determine the probable history of Chi Tau City. I have gathered that information and placed it here in our blog. Respect is a way of treating or thinking about something or someone. If you respect your teacher, you admire her and treat her well. People respect others who are impressive for any reason, such as being in authority — like a teacher or cop — or being older — like a grandparent. You show respect by being polite and kind. For a lot of people, taking your hat off is a show of respect. When people are insulted or treated badly, they feel they haven’t been treated with respect. You can respect things as well as people. There has been a concern growing lately, and it resolves around respect. It isn’t surprising, considering that the lack of respect extends far beyond the reaches of our city, and dwells in the hearts of many people all over the world. Chi Tau City’s rules revolve around respect. Respect the city. Respect the citizens. Respect immersion. This means that we need to put aside what we hear almost daily and show others the respect that we also feel others should show us. This means putting the needs and wishes of another person before our own desires, an act that is alien to most of us.
Respecting the citizens is what I want to talk about now, as this is where the majority of our problems come from. The citizens include the city owners, city administrators, the sorority sisters, our residents, and every single person who visits the city. Every single person here deserves to be shown and treated with respect, whether you like them or not. So what does that mean in practice? It means that you put their needs before your own. You are polite and respectful. If someone says no, or tells you that they aren’t interested, you move on to someone else. You do not verbally, emotionally, mentally abuse another person, just because you don’t get your way.
There are a number of different people that come to this city. Some will have sex with anything, anyone, for any reason. Others are more selective about who they choose. Believe it or not, there are even some who come to the city for the friendships formed and the DJ events, not for the sex at all. This is a community of diverse people with different wants, needs and desires. Yes, it is centered around sex and cum, but that is only part of who and what we are as a community. Be mindful of that, and by showing respect, you will flourish in our community. Take that same respect for others outside of the city, in every aspect of your life, and you will find that you will flourish as well.
I want to emphasize how important respect is to our community. If you don’t show respect to others, and are abusive to anyone while you are in the city, you may find yourself on the receiving end of a ban, and possibly being offered up to the Linden gods to be dealt with appropriately. No one is too important for the city, and we will always be better off without disrespectful individuals around. It really is easy to be respectful, it only requires a small amount of courtesy, and we would certainly love to have you as part of our city.
Of course, this brings us to role play. Some might think that it’s their character’s way to be disrespectful. They might even use that as an excuse. It’s true, you may have that type of character, but if you are still in control of your character’s actions. If a person isn’t interested in that type of play, and makes it clear to you, as the one in control, respect that answer and move to someone who is interested in that type of play. If you are looking for rape play or other forced sex scenes, find out as the one in control if that person is interested before you start. Better yet, cross the river into Old Town and the Red Light District and look for those who have the Victim tag displayed. That person has already given their consent, and you’re welcome to do whatever you desire with them, up until the point that they give you an out of character “no” response. At that point, it is time to stop and find another victim.
There is absolutely no excuse for disrespecting anyone. Everyone has the ability to show respect, even when you’re playing a character who is intentionally disrespectful. There are times we may disrespect unintentionally, and when that happens, apologize and move on. Please continue to keep Chi Tau City a fun place for everyone, and don’t put the administrators in a position to ban you from participating in our community.
The year 2018 was a good year. It was the year that Ancilla, Rose and I decided to bring our ideas together and found Chi Tau City. Ancilla was the founder of Cum Slut Sorority, and Trasee was the co-founder of Darkwolf Lounge. The two centerpieces of what became Chi Tau City. During the next several months, we built the city, and Meri came along side us to help the city grow. Darkwolf Lounge was rebranded as Stray Cat Lounge, and we now have live DJ’s almost every day. We have Sorority and City events regularly throughout the city. We have a thriving community, but more than that, we have a family. Every one of you is family to us, and we want you all to feel welcomed and loved here. We are so happy to hear from those who feel the same way.
There is already so much to do in Chi Tau City. From our live DJs, to games of Bet Your Ass Greedy. From the dancing in the clubs, to the dancing between the sheets. We want this to be a place that everyone can enjoy, and that is only going to continue to grow in 2019. Ancilla and I have many, many plans. We are still working on redesigning uptown. We’ve added more townhouses for rent. We are going to continue to work on our script saturation. We are adding more interactive features, and even things that we will start selling. The year 2018 was a good year, and the year 2019 will be a great one. It is something we couldn’t have done without each and every one of you. Thank you all for a wonderful year, and we look forward to 2019 and beyond with each and every one of you.
