Want to live where you play? Chi Tau has several rental options, many of which are quite economical!
All rentals require a minimum of Freshman status in the Fraternity or Sorority, or Local status in the Citizenry. If interested in a rental, please stop by the rental office located across from City Hall, or contact Savvy Conundrum, Rhiannon (Rhiannon.Tamerlane), Cassie (firecatcassie), or Merilee (Cwynyd).
Dorms – Rentable by Sorority Sisters or Fraternity Members who are of at least Freshman status. Located right next to the University, there are several styles of dorm rooms that range from 30L$/week for 30 prims up to 50L$/week for 50 prims.
Trailers – Located near Old Town, these are designed for “working Sisters”, though they can be rented by guys too. Multiple layouts to choose from, 40 prim allotment, 80L$/week.
Apartments – These smaller, one room dwellings can be found in the heart of the Business District. Great views, limited neighbors, and close to all your shopping needs. Apartments allow for 50 prims, for 100L$/week.
Row Houses – Settle into a two level home right on the edge of the Red Light District. Perfect for singles or couples, Row Houses have a prim limit of 75, for 150L$/week.
Town Houses – Live the high life in Chi Tau’s Uptown district! Most Townhouses are three levels, though one does have a fourth, detached level. With a Town House, you will be allowed 125 prims, for 250L$/week.
Residential Sim – You must be at least Freshman status in the Fraternity or Sorority, or a Local in the Citizenry group, in order to rent on the Residential sim. If interested in renting a house here, please contact Savvy Vortex or Merilee (Cwynyd) directly. Here you will “own” your parcel, and be allowed to set your own music stream as well as set your own group for your land. You may rez a platform/skybox at a minimum of 3000 meters, but the house must be furnished and act as the “main living space” for the parcel. Ban lines are not allowed (the parcel must remain public), and you must allow other avatars to see/hear the people on your parcel. With beach houses, inland “grassy” parcels, and Estates, prim allotments/prices start at 163 prims for 489L$/week.

Q: Can furniture be supplied for me? A: No. Unfortunately, we are unable to supply furniture for you at this time.
Q: Can I rent more prims? A: No; we are unable to allow for more prims to be rented for units at this time.
Q: Can I rez items outside of my trailer/townhouse/row house/apartment/dorm? A: Possibly. Please contact a member of the rental team (listed above), as it depends on the style of home and the item(s) that you would like to rez.
FAQs about the Residential Sim:
Q: May I choose my own house? A: No; the houses on this sim were carefully chosen to fit in with the city’s existing aesthetic.
Q: Am I bound to the City’s rules? A: Yes. You must adhere to all of Chi Tau’s rules.
Q: So-and-so won’t stop entering my property. Can I ban them? A: Yes. If someone enters your parcel without permission, please ask them to leave. If they refuse, please ban them from the parcel, and alert an Admin, either in world or via the Abuse Report on Chi Tau’s blog at www.ChiTauCity.com.
Q: Am I allowed to rez outside of my home? A: Yes! You can rez inside and outside of your homes, as long as you are within your parcel’s limits.
Q: Am I allowed to terraform? A: No; the land is terraformed as it needs to be.
Q: May I have a subtenant? A: Absolutely! Just inform a rental agent of who you wish to have as a subtenant.
